One of the little known public facts about me is this: Every time we start the countdown of a new event, I get butterflies and anxiousness in my gut. You would think that after thousands of events, decades of circumstances and experience, I would be calm and unbothered. Well, not the case. Therefore, I take it as a reminder that the event is not mine or ours, but God’s. We have learned that it is our responsibility to plan every detail like it all depends on us and then turn the corner and implement like it all depends on Him. After every event I am amazed at the contentment. I believe that is God’s wind of blessing and approval. Our Golden Doddle "Belle" is only a year old, but she's reading at a first grade level. In dog years, that's a 7th grade level! She brings lots of joy to our life. |
